As we currently are studying through Exodus we have looked at a lot of stuff concerning leadership. I believe that many of us have allowed the Lord to challenge us in and with this, because I have seen so many of you stepping up and taking up responsibilities and growing in Leadership. As I have often said what Leadership is: Leadership is creating serving relationships that have the effect of spiritual and personal growth to the glory of God!
And with that in mind I know that I will fail at this great task if I don’t allow those of you, whom the Lord has called into leadership, to give you arenas in which you can safely exercise this calling to train you up, so that one day you can step out and raise other leaders.
There has been a thought that first my wife had and then the Lord started putting on my heart and it has to do with giving many of you this arena here in the church, through me moving out for a time! Yes, we as the Kleinloh’s are planning to move into short term missions for one year. The time we are aiming at is Summer of 2010 until the summer of 2011.
We and the leadership of this church believe that the Lord is leading us to step out into this adventure of faith in this season right now, because we have seen the Lord moving within many of you and that now you are ready to face such a challenge. Within this time Keith will do the main teaching, together with Robert, who will be coming back for that year. The leadership of this church will be made up of the three elders – Marc, Dietmar, Jochen – and probably another person we are praying about right now, together with Keith and Robert. These five or six guys will take over my place during that time.
Right now we do not know where the Lord wants us in Missions, and we want you guys as our family to be a part of this process through prayer and also advice, ideas, or whatever the Lord might want you to do in this process. We have something like 14 months to find that place and hope to find something somewhere, where many of you can come throughout the year to minster along side of us for a week or longer… We are looking for a English speaking country, where we could minister with an exciting ministry there and support with our gifting whatever the Lord is doing. We have already different options: Right now Uganda/Africa is on top of the list, but there is also Malaysia, Singapore, Namibia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand…
We are open to wherever the Lord might lead us...
And just to make sure that no false rumours start up:
We are not taking a sabbatical, because we are so drained from the ministry – we are having a further education (Fortbildung) in Ministry! And there is no problem with any one within the leadership of the church. And we will come back! This is not the first step to leave you guys! You are the best church I could even imagine and I am so proud of you that the Lord believes that we can all do something like this…
So please talk to us if you have any questions about this! And don’t hesitate to let us know if the Lord should show you something for this season. We believe it’s gong to be a good time for all of us – challenging but good!
We will also now start a Blog, to keep you updated and will also inform you here on Sundays about where we see the Lord moving and which doors have closed and which doors have opened…

The Kleinloh’s and CCHD’s plans for Summer 2010 to 2011
